Two days and counting for the comment period on the proposed rule which closes on July 15.

I heard a presentation this weekend where the call to action was given.

Here are items you can DO today or tomorrow:

Sign the Catholic Legal Immigration Network Petition(CLINIC) to stop rule changes that would effectively dismantle what is left of the asylum system as we know it. Sign by 1 pm ET July 15.

(Let this be the ONLY thing you do if you want to do the BARE MINIMUM)

Watch CLINIC’s webinar: Our Asylum System at Grave Risk: What You Can Do to learn more about what is happening
Sign the petition: On June 26^th Judge Dolly Gee ruled that children detained over 20 days must be released. The concern is that this separates children from their parents. Sign to show your support for children and parents being released together.
Leave a comment on the proposed asylum rule change. Write an original comment which is more powerful and effective. Don’t copy and paste.

Share what you learned today with three people:

Someone who 100% will sign the petition
Someone who probably will sign the petition
Someone who makes your heart beat fast and your hands start to sweat because you know it won’t be an easy conversation
