There were two contributing factors:

Some counties (in violation of state) were late in drawing their new precinct lines.
Districtr didn't have time to get them up.
The Native American consensus maps just arrived. That is partially related to the above issue.

The CRC has to get the maps to Dr. Cottrell at the University of Georgia who is doing the evaluations of the maps. He needs a minimum of 7 days. They need to deliver the maps to the Legislature by October 30.

Hopefully all the maps including the NM House maps will be up on Districtr.

Dick,

I know you said the process was going wall, but I was very
frustrated at not being able to view the maps they were discussing.
One of those maps (that they approved) is really bad for White Rock,
or at least its predecessor C was; there's no way of telling whether
C1 is similar, because it's not public and he never zoomed in to
our area during the meeting.

And of course, since they weren't public before the meeting, the
public never got a chance to comment on them.

Do you know whether they plan to publish the remaining maps they're
going to discuss before they reconvene Tuesday at 3pm? If DistrictR
is still having problems, could they at least publish PDF and GIS files?

If I could get GIS files a day or two beforehand, I could put up
live zoomable maps on the FairDistricts website. They wouldn't have
all the great statistics that DistrictR has, but at least people
could see what's being voted on and whether the maps are a disaster
for their areas.

That is because they just got the Native American consensus maps for the NM House and Research and Polling needs time to integrate them into the existing maps.
