With its vote tonight on the Congressional map sent to them by the Senate, the House finished Its major redistricting responsibilities.

At this point I would say they fulfilled their duties well.

They passed HB8 that was CRC map E-1 that was changed to incorporate the Native American consensus
The Native Ameicans had not come ot consensus until after the CRC adjourned, Important to have that included.

They passed a slightly amended CRC Concept E for the Public Education Commission - this was the plan favored by the Navajo Nation

So overall the House  did their job well

They still need to approve the NM Senate map when it comes over from the Senate. They will most likely pass it. Each chamber respects the wishes of the other.

The Senate has to pass the House and PEC and then it goes to the Governor

On the House side the Citizen Redistricting Committee process worked well. The House respected the hard work of the CRC.

I will report on the Senate when they finish their work
