We still have a way to go, but tonight in House Judiciary they passed
SB 144 protection for election officials with the most
important features of SB 6, the technical bill and some of the features
of SB 8- youth voting in local elections and non incarcerated convicted
persons. The vote was 8-3. It will go to the House floor as SB144. Much of it
strengthens voter access and ballot security.
It still needs to pass the House and go back to the Senate for concurrence.
