I wrote to Meredith yesterday but she did not respond. Here is my message:

Will you be attending the SEC meeting tomorrow? If so, would you speak in support of these bills? I don't know why the Center for Dryland Resilience is being heard by the SEC, but it's a good idea, a returning bill.

Here are the bills and our position:

SB60 Photovoltaic Systems in New Public Schools

The League supports policies and incentives that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

SB 78 Center for Dryland Resilience

LWVNM advocates for responsible management of our land to preserve habitats and natural landscapes for the continued viability of all species.
