It was SJR 7 that was withdrawn. We withdrew it because we had an amended version that was not prepared in time.
We accomplished what we wanted in the Senate - to get a read on the positions of Senators.
The House version, HJR10 did pass one committee, but did not get heard in House Judiciary. We will be issuing a full summary of the redistricting efforts and our plans for 2025 early next week.Dick MasonOn Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 12:15:03 PM MST, Leslie Wallstrom via Action <action@mailman.swcp.com> wrote:Hello - Why was HJR10 withdrawn, the Independent Redistricting commission? Many of them were her priorities. We are told the tax bill (HB252) was okayed by the Governor. Thanks to all of you who spoke for the League or who made contacted legislators in support of LWVNM legislation. We will be summing up the seesion on our Action call on Monday night at 6pm.Dick Mason
