Great news accompanied by much caution related to the priorities of the incoming administration. NM is one of the top states in terms of receiving federal funding, with 42 percent of our population receiving Medicaid and around $350 million in federal education funding and so much more. 
Poverty statistics don’t take into account the 11,000 NM residents lacking work authorization who are not eligible for federal benefits and very few state programs.
