Honoring immigrant workers and kicking off
Citizenship Month 2025

This week, as the nation honors workers, NPNA is thinking especially about immigrant workers and their value beyond their labor. We recognize them, honor their sacrifices, and continue to stand in solidarity as our communities stand strong to build an inclusive and representative democracy.

Join us in elevating Citizenship Throughout September
Events Across the Nation
From coast to coast, NPNA members and allies are hosting citizenship events to help community members determine eligibility and ensure they are taking all necessary steps before applying for citizenship. NPNA is excited to partner with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), National Association for Latino Elected Officials (NALEO), New Americans Campaign (NAC), and Citizenshipworks on this effort.
NPNA Citizenship Day Toolkit
In this toolkit, you will find background information on Citizenship Day, messaging guidance, video, and graphics to elevate all month long. This toolkit is designed for organizations that have year-round citizenship programming or upcoming events such as naturalization clinics or information sessions.
National Day of Action

September 17 is Citizenship and Constitution Day, a nationwide call to action for over 9 million immigrants eligible to naturalize. This year on Citizenship Day NPNA, our members and partners are calling for a national day of action. Mark your calendars, below are ways your organization can participate:

  1. Share ourCall to Naturalizevideo on your social media channels on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 and join our national call to action as we create momentum on socials to reach a wide range of community members with this important message. *Please do not share before September 17th*

  2. Holding a naturalization event and sharing it on social media? Be sure to tag @npnewamericans so that we can uplift.

  3. Post and share digital content from our Citizenship Month Toolkit all month long!
