Just wanted to raise awareness of the Pay Gap. Equal Pay Day is 3/25 for white women. The gap is much higher for other women. We need our governments to pay attention and get to work.On Friday, March 20, 2026 at 08:20:53 AM CDT, Meghan Kissell (AAUW) <memberinfo@email.aauw.org> wrote:Having trouble viewing this email? Let me ask you a question: Why are women still paid less?
Because the truth about the gender pay gap is not so simple.
The gender pay gap is not just about one paycheck or one job. It reflects discrimination, the fact that women are overrepresented in lower-paid work, the devaluing of work done mostly by women, barriers to advancement, and the lasting economic penalties of caregiving.
And for many women of color, the gap is even wider.
Give now so AAUW can combat pay inequity with research, advocacy, and action.
We use data from our newest publication, The (Not So) Simple Truth About the Gender Pay Gap, to drive policy change, push for stronger enforcement of equal pay and anti-discrimination laws, advance pay transparency, and equip advocates to take action in their own communities.
Join us today so disparities can’t hide in the dark.
In solidarity,
