River Rendezvous $15 per person including lunch from the Pilar Yacht Club.

9:00-9:30- Registration and Coffee
9:30-10:15- Streamflow Outlook, Rolf Schmidt-Petersen and Craig Cotton
10:30-11:00- Throwbag Toss
11:00-11:30- Rio Grande Climate Change Challenges, Dagmar Llewellyn
11:30-Noon- Planning: Rio Grande del Norte Monument, John Bailey
Noon Lunch- Pilar Yacht Club
1:00-5:00- Geology Float-Racecourse, Paul Bauer, Bring your own boat.
-5PM SUP- Inflatable Kayak Demos – Sponsored by AIRE Inflatables

-6PM Dutch Oven Cookoff - Show off your dutch oven skills! Following the River Rendezvous on Friday evening, we invite everyone to participate in a dutch oven cook off. All interested parties need to bring their own charcoal, firepan, dutch oven as well as whatever you would like to put in it. There will be a panel of judges giving top honors in a dinner and dessert category and a delicious potluck for all participants and guests to enjoy and judge for themselves.

-9AM Interpretive Guided Hike with BLM Ranger- Picuris Trail/Slide Trail loop
Meet at the trailhead at Taos Junction Bridge on NM 570 for this moderate 2.0 mile round trip hike. Spectacular views, history, and archeology! - Sponsored by the BLM Taos Field Office.

-10AM – Noon: Kayak Downriver Race
Men’s and Women’s Division
Long Boat- 9 feet and above, Short Boat, under 9 feet.

-1PM – 3PM Kayak, Canoe, SUP Slalom - at After 5

-3:30 – 4:30PM – Kid and Mom Tandem Race – starts at Lone Juniper and finishes at Rio Bravo Campground. (Ik's, Kayaks, SUP, Raft's)

5PM – 6PM Raft R-4 Downriver Race (four paddlers per boat)– Quartzite to County Line

3PM – 5PM Kayak Clinics & Demos - sponsored by Four Corners Riversports

6:30 - 7:30PM– Awards at Rio Bravo

7:30 - 9:30PM - OPEN MIC - Campfire tunes - Sponsored by ELM

Sunday May 11th – Mother’s Day

-8AM – 12:00PM Pilar Yacht Club, Mother’s Day Benefit Breakfast for NMROA- New Mexico River Outfitter Association: All Welcome

10AM – 1PM Paul Bauer: Geological Float on the Rio Grande for River Guide Education. Sign up at Rio Bravo. Space is limited.

-12-1:30PM – SUP Races :Men’s and Women’s Divisions:Long Board 11ft+, Short Board under 11ft.
