I just talked to Mark Sundin with the BLM and he would like to get some feedback on some three changes they are looking at for the Chama permitting process.

1. The BLM is considering moving to recreation.gov to handle the permitting process and for picking up cancellations. The fee would stay the same at $6

2. They are looking at changing the per person fee from $5/person to $10/person. Per Mark these fees haven't changed since 1988

3. In order to cut back on trips that don't launch and are not cancelled, the BLM would like to implement a $20 deposit. If you cancel more than 14 days in advance your deposit will b refunded.
