Ask this guy if he can help you. I've consulted with him a couple of times about 305's, but never got around to sending them in. Supposedly works on 500's also.

Subject: [NMCycling] Broken tab on Garmin 500

A mounting tab on the lower shell body of my Garmin 500 snapped off. Garmin does not sell shells - they want me to send in the unit and 90 bucks and they'll send me a refurb replacement.

Does anyone have a line on a source for a new lower shell? There's an ebay seller in Russia who's selling them but that seems a little sketchy.
