I wanted to publicly thank Lenny Goodell for chucking his broken Edge 500 in my direction.  I swapped the screens as you suggested and it booted up like a champ.  I'll keep the suggestions to use Q-Bond or Loctite plastic epoxy in mind in case a tab breaks again.
