The Greater Albuquerque Half Marathon is a scam.  It's scheduled for July 13th but they have no permit.  The race is put on by one of the biggest fraudsters in the running business, Dean Reinke.

If you or your friends have already paid the entry fee, I suggest contacting your credit card company and seeing if you can reverse the charges.
