The New Mexico Bicycle Racing Association will be hosting an Introductory Official’s Clinic for anyone interested in taking the first step towards becoming a USA Cycling Official on Sunday, March 1, 2015.

This is an entry level (C) clinic with an open book test.  The clinic will last for about 4 to 5 hours, covering the disciplines of road, track, cyclocross and mountain bike, as well as officials structure and duties.

There is no fee to attend the clinic.  Upon completion of the clinic and 70% passing grade on the test participants can purchase their first officials license for $35. Checks made out to USA Cycling or a credit card will be required for license application.  Due to USOC regulations, you will need to have a background check and take a webinar on Safe Sport through the USOC website before your license is issued.

Seating is limited, please email Al Watters (alpappywatters@gmail.com) to confirm your attendance or if you have any questions.  Attendees will need to bring a pencil and notebook to take notes on the presentation.  Rulebooks will be provided by USA Cycling.  Attendees are responsible for their own lunch which can be purchased downstairs.  Beverage service will provided for attendees.

Download the 2015 USAC Rulebook at the link below and if possible try to read through at least once to get familiar with the rules.
