"Without
a doubt, the Edict was the fastest, most-efficient, mountain-flattening
bike in our test. Exactly what you're looking for when courting XC race
bikes."

With
just over a year under its wheels, this Felt Edict Nine 1 XC/Marathon
frame is in great used condition. Somehow, Felt has managed to make a
super-efficient but still fun-to-ride bike in their Edict series and
this bike is fast enough to slay it on short races but
confidence-inspiring enough for NMES or 24-hour
racing. It has 100mm
rear wheel travel and can be built up with either a 100 or 120mm fork
(tapered steerer tube). It takes a 30.9
seatpost and threaded (hooray!)
bottom bracket. Full cable housing keeps the gunk out. The frame has the
expected cable rub and a couple of paint chips (none through to the
carbon- the worst two are shown). But just try finding a carbon
Cannondale Scalpel or Trek Supercalber FS, Ibis Ripley, or Santa Cruz
Tallboy for similar money.
