Bell Helmets is going to award a $100,000.00 grant to one (1) city in the U.S. to build a world class downhill bicycle trail. There are two (2) New Mexico cities, Gallup & Ruidoso, in the semi-finals to win the award. The other city is Duluth MN.

At this time Gallup is a distant third in the voting, but Ruidoso is less than 400 votes behind Duluth, a city 10 times larger than Ruidoso.

I think you all realize what this trail would mean to the State of New Mexico, both in prestige and in the bicycling dollars this would bring to our state. This would really place New Mexico on the international bicycle racing map, and I am asking you to cast a vote for Ruidoso.
