On Saturday, July 11 at 1:00 pm a ghost bike will be placed to remember Ernesto Kee Jr. He was killed Januray 26, 2015 in the intersection of Coors Blvd. and Southwestern Polytechnical Institute Road NW, just south of Paseo del Norte NW.
Family and friends will be in attendance, along with members of Duke City Wheelmen.
Ghost bikes are bicycles painted white, placed to remember a person who was killed while cycling.
Duke City Wheelmen is an Albuquerque based safe cycling advocacy organization. Members of DCW install ghost bikes, work with homeless cyclists to improve their safety at The Rock at Noonday, conduct safe cycling courses and advocate for the best improvements to New Mexico's cycling safety.
