The American Hiking Society together with Michelob Ultra are conducting a contest to select two trails to receive $25,000 dollars of funding to make improvements.  One of the sites vying for this funding is New Mexico's own section of the Continental Divide Trail.

You can vote once a day in Sept & Oct  to help get funds for the CDT in Silver City and Chama. Voting link:
superiortrails.michelobultra.com There are 10 trails across the country competing; two will get $25k each.

Currently, the NM trails are in second place.  Let's help beat out Florida and put NM into first place!

Please help out by voting early and often!

Thanks,
Jennifer

Extending over 3,100 miles from Canada to Mexico, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail is much more than just a line on a map; it is a living museum of the American West, a place to reconnect with nature, and a unifying force bringing people from all walks of life together.

If awarded the Michelob ULTRA Superior Trails grant, volunteers will expand the trail within the state of New Mexico and create a new “Trail Adopters” training program that helps educate and mentor new Adopters on the Gila and Carson National Forests. These much needed upgrades in staffing and trail expansions will help preserve the unique natural history of the Divide for future generations.
