 Below are a few information about tomorrow:

 PJ Motorcycles Road Race 

The race tomorrow counts double points towards the Omnium.  Please see the race bible for more information.

LocationStart line @ Paako Communities Center, 232 PaaKo Dr. Sandia Park, NM 87047. 

                Finish Line will be on South 14 @ mile marker 11.

Course

     The road race course will have a long loop and a short loop. Depending of the category, riders will race either loops or laps on the short loop.  The long loop will be a 42 miles comprising of HW 14, HW 344, going up Heartbreak, 800 meters, 15% avg, HW 306(Frost Road) and the Gutierrez Canyon.  The short loop will be a 31.25 mile loop comprising of HW 14, HW 344, going up Heartbreak Hill and HW 306(a.k.a. Frost road). First race goes off at 09:00 am.

Safety:

      As with the Car Crafters ITT, The Bernalillo Sheriff's Dept will have 6 units on the course as well as the race will have Volunteers at every turn to keep you on the course.  Helmets are mandatory any time you are on the bike.  

Follow Vehicles:

Only vehicles authorized by the Race Director may follow races on the road and each such vehicle shall bear distinctive identification, visible from both front and rear. The composition and structure of the race caravan must be approved by the Chief Referee and all vehicles shall operate under the officials' control.

Feed Zone:

 2016 The Adoption Exchange Classic will provide neutral feed thanks to Zoe Fitness. The feed zone will located at the top of Heartbreak Hill and it will be clearly marked. Per USAC rules:

  1. Water bottles and trash can only be dropped in the feed zones or finish.  
  2. Feeding is ONLY allowed in the feed zone so the racers need to plan accordingly.  There is no feed from cars at any point during the race. There is no feeding outside the feed zone anywhere on the course 8B5(a)Unauthorized feeding (outside zone or distance permitted) - Warning or relegation or DSQ (C race) or In first 50 Km $50 fine In last 20 Km $50 fine and 20 seconds Other Licensee -- $100 fine In first 50 Km $50 fine In last 20 Km $50 fine and 20 seconds Other Licensee -- $100 fine (as this is a multi day event)8B5(b) Irregular Feeding  Warning or relegation (C race) or Rider $15 fine , Other Licensee - $35 fine (as this is a multi day event)

 

Please do not feed outside of the feed zone.  If you have a feeder, please direct him/her to the feed zone.

Bib Numbers:

  2016 The Adoption Exchange Classic uses 2 sets of numbers.  One number should be place on your right hand side and the other number on the left hand side.

 

Special Prize for King & Queen of the Hill for M & W P123:

2016 The  Adoption Exchange Classic will offer $100.00 dollars prize for the King & Queen of Heartbreak Hill for the M & W P/1/2/3 categories.  The scoring will be based on points.  More info on the race bible.  Riders must finish the race in order to collect the prizes.
