Course description: Approx. 20K course (out and back) along Atrisco Vista Blvd, starting just to the North of Albuquerque Freightliner, going north towards Double Eagle Airport and returning to start area. The pavement is in good condition and there is a bike lane both directions. Please use bike lane except to pass. Course is open to traffic. Riders start at 30-second intervals. We will have assigned start times posted and same day registered riders will be assigned start times, first come first served. The average of your two fastest times (but only one per day) is used in determining the series winners in each age group. Course map http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/684120742
Registration: Online registration at www.USAcycling.org Online Entry fee: $25/day, $15 for juniors. Online reg. closes Friday 10 pm prior to race. Same day registration, 7:45-8:15am, including juniors, is $35/day. Same day registration will close at 8:15. No extra charge for multiple rides on same day. To race you must have an USAC license, either annual or one-day. One-day licenses are available online at USAC website and at on-site registration for $10. (See rule below). Annual licenses will be available for purchase on site.

Paracyclists
Directions: From the Big I (I-25/I-40) take I-40 W to Atrisco Vista Blvd exit #149. Go North on Atrisco Vista Blvd just past I-40 frontage road. Parking is along Atrisco Vista east of Albuquerque Freightliner. Registration/number pickup near start/staging north of parking area. No parking north of start/staging area, please.
Special Notes: Warm up on course allowed until 8:10 otherwise use I-40 Frontage Road or a stationary trainer. Approved helmets must be worn at all times while on your bike. No drafting allowed. Rule 3E6: No rider shall take pace behind another rider closer than 25 meters (80 feet) ahead or 2 meters (7 feet) to the side. No riding abreast other than when attempting to pass. If the pass is not made cleanly within 500 meters, the caught rider must drop back to a distance 25 meters.
Rule 1A3(c): (c) One-day licenses may be purchased online through the USA Cycling registration system or onsite at any USA Cycling sanctioned event and are valid for a single day of racing. One-day beginner licenses may only be purchased by the lowest category of racer for that discipline.
