Good Morning,
I wanted to add to yesterday's email about NMBRA elections that Al Wattar is a Board Member at Large.  He was accidentally left off of the list of the NMBRA Board.
Sorry for the confusion,
S

Subject: [NMCycling] NMBRA Elections

Greeting NM Bike Racers,
Over the past 6 weeks  your NMBRA board members have worked with USAC, Wells Fargo and the IRS, and have brought NMBRA back to compliance just in time to start our racing season.  As we are gearing up for the 2017 racing season, the NMBRA is looking for people who want to be active in helping to grow bike racing in New Mexico.
The official website for NMBRA is  www.nmbra.org .  It will serve as one platform for information for NM bike racing on all disciplines which will include Road, Mountain Bike, Track, CX as well as BMX and Endurance racing.  The website is functional as of right now, but it is under construction as we try to populate it with information that we are gathering.

Currently, the board of directors consists of:
Silvio Menezes, President (interim), Upgrade Coordinator
Dennis Chavez, Vice President
Sarah Fair, Secretary; Acting Treasurer
Robbie Douangpanya, Board Member at Large
The Board is seeking nominations for the following positions:
Treasurer and Board Member at Large (2)
The term of each position is two years and the new NMBRA board members must be committed to seeing NM bike racing grow. The board meets once a month for approximately 2 hours, however there may other time commitments such assisting with social media, upgrades etc.  If  this sounds like something you want to participate an election meeting is going to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3 pm at Sports Systems.  The address of Sports  Systems is as follow: 6915 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  All clubs are encouraged to attend.
NMBRA really wants members who are enthusiastic about bike racing and that want to work with US Cycling to encourage more people to get out on their bikes and have fun!  Feel free to contact a board member with questions or a better understanding of the job descriptions.
