The NM State Senior Olympics is returning to ABQ this year and all athletes 50+ (by Dec 31,2017) are eligible to participate with no prequalifying required and is also now open to athletes in other states. While USAC rules will apply, no USAC license is required for participants.
Cycling events , 5K and 10K TTs and 20K and 40K RRs will be held Saturday July 22 and Sunday July 23 with athletes competing in 5-year age divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 M/F in each age group for each individual event. All cycling events will be out on Atrisco Vista NW. This year is not a pre-qualifier for Nationals, but in 2019 National Senior Olympics is scheduled to be held in the Albuquerque area with the qualifiers also in ABQ in 2018!
