Sad to hear about all this.

 

There was a similar problem with such coatings in California – I think in the San Gabriel mountains north of LA - several years ago.    That one bit a few CHP motorcycle cops if memory serves.

JB, That is because they travel at a high state of speed around curves also cutting into our bike lane.
