Being new to the area, I'm not familiar with the reputations of the medical community.  Google searches aren't working for me, so I'm reaching out in hopes that someone can give me some first hand tips on quality orthopedists in the ABQ/SF area.  I suppose there are a couple of considerations I'm concerned about.  One, I'd prefer a doc who understands athletes, and two, someone who's a star surgeon in case surgery is the path I have to go down.  FWIW, I'm 65 and a very strong candidate for a knee replacement, but I'm trying to avoid that if possible.  If I must, who should I see?
