Hey all! I am looking for some info for someone that is a fit higher performance road cyclist and is now dealing with the progressing symptoms of MS.
He is having balance issues but still wants to be able to ride a 'real' sit on top road bike. He does not have the strength to go high performance (low slung) recumbent (can't get up and out of the seat) and doesn't want to go typical adult trike (heavy, slow,
clunky).
I remember a local ABQ bike racer from some time ago setting up a road bike with some kind of way to help with balance and still allow him to time trial I believe? I'm sorry I can't remember his name, but fuzzy remember that he was a part of the Sport Systems
or Heart Hospital teams maybe 10-15 years ago? He had some kind of modification done to allow him to continue to ride and compete...that modification is the info I am looking for.
Any info that I could pass along to help this guy keep riding in the way he is hoping to would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Mike Humphries
