It isn't just SPF but also broad spectrum, to block UVA and UVB rays. Again, from the website above: "There are two kinds of UV rays – UVA and UVB. Each penetrates your skin differently. The SPF rating only refers to UVB rays."“Choose a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 30, broad spectrum, and water-resistant if you’re swimming or sweating,” George says. “Beyond that, with all the brands and formulations out there, pick whichever one you like that you won’t mind using regularly.”
I would like to probe the New Mexico cycling hive mind about sunscreen. I have used bullfrog for years, but am a bit concerned about it being somewhat toxic. I find with zinc oxide only sunscreens I tend to wipe them off getting sweat out of my eyes, and then get sunburned anyway. I got some chemical and zinc oxide sunscreen from Target and it seems to interfere with the sweating/cooling process. Do you have a favorite you might recommend?
Thanks
