Dear New Mexico/West Texas Racers,
Now that we have had a chance to catch our breath from a good weekend event I would like to share some appreciation.
First and foremost, I thank the volunteers for being available to drive cars, set up the event (sweeping, traffic control, etc) and hand out race numbers. Without ZiaVelo members coming together for our BIG event in the Spring this event would not be as seamlessly managed on the ground level.
Second, I appreciate the racers who made the efforts to come to our event and make it as successful as possible.
Next, the officials from USAC (and specifically Dave Halliburton for running the timing, registration, and results posting) helped make the event an authentic experience with USAC points on the table. A special shout-out to Mike and Tammy Abdall for staying at the top for the last rider. He was extremely appreciative to reach the top with smiling faces awaiting him.
I am proud to be involved in the cycling community of New Mexico and the camaraderie that exists across the state.
All the best,
David Rutledge
