[Hhsband] news and a booster meeting Tuesday 2/7/2017

I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break.  Band members have been 
very busy since returning from winter break.  We had 2 representatives 
and 1 alternative in Allstate Concert Band (here in Albuquerque) and 2 
representatives in Allstate Jazz bands with an alternate (in Las 
Cruces). The steel pan band (playing with Alb Academy) was scheduled to 
play a concert at the Allstate Conference on Friday 1/6 - the day of the 
snow day :-(

Basketball games have started and Ms G is getting the Band ready for 
MAP. The steel pan band combined group will most likely play a make-up 
concert soon, we will keep you posted.

The Band trip is moving along and is scheduled for 3/31 - 4/2 to 
Durango, Co. We will go over the agenda and fundraising status.

To go over the spring events and to start looking forward to next year 
we'd like to have a booster meeting next Tuesday (7/7/17) at 6pm at the 
band room.  I would really like to have people lined up to shadow 
booster leaders next year as many of us will be celebrating our child's 
graduation success in 2018.

We have also received a request from the music fraternity at UNM to 
participate in a fundraiser with them in April. They will be attending 
the meeting to give us details on the event so we can decide if we will 
participate.
