I've been asked about the schedule for the rest of football season.
Above is the link.
The car wash brought in about $800 - thanks to everybody who helped or
had their cash washed. Also a big thank you to Jim's automotive. His
support over the last year or more is huge. Pass the word on his
wonderful shop (a bunch of us have used him for years) and his support
for HHS Band. We have invited him and a guest to attend the 10/12
football game to watch the show.
Pageant of Bands (POB) tickets and pictures are available for purchase.
I'll get the order form out to you soon - that will have the prices,
etc. There are also patches and other memorabilia for sale through our
POB reps - Denise T and Melecia G. This is a day of marching band
competition from bands all over the state and Colorado. Highland will
be performing right after lunch. We participate in the profits of the
day, so we need volunteers to help out. The shifts are 1-1.5 hours, not
during our bands performance. I will verify how many shifts we must man
- but in general we will need to cover 15-20 volunteer shifts.
Everyone older than middle school needs a ticket to get in, so buy them
from the us as we get credit for those and a little extra profit. If we
order enough pictures (they have serious and funny ones) we get
discounted prices.
Some in the band are also recruiting highland students to come and
support the band and I'm hoping to sell those tickets for a little less
to help out students who want to attend.
