From my work as Observer to the NM PRC, I strongly believe that a strong and reliable grid is important, not just in New Mexico, but in all states so that if there is a sudden need for electric power, and the local power company can not meet the demand, other utilities can make up the shortfall.

2nd Annual Virtual Distributed Energy Summit

Please join us on Thursday, July 29, and Friday, July 30, 2021 for a Virtual Summit on New Mexico’s energy transition and a holistic view of challenges and opportunities. Learn about the many exciting efforts and initiatives in the areas of Economy, Technology, and Workforce, and consider how all institutions and New Mexicans can benefit.

There is no charge to attend, but advance registration is required. Registration deadline is July 22. Register at the Summit webpage. The Zoom link will be provided to registrants shortly before the event.

If COVID-19 conditions permit, SFCC will host an on-site tour of its Smart- and Micro-grid Training Center on Friday afternoon, July 30 – see separate sign-up in the registration form.
