Agreed! All of us can benefit from learning more about this. Even if we don't want to be moderators, we can learn how to keep time or organize questions if we're ever needed.

Thanks for holding this!

WE ARE SERIOUS — WE NEED YOU TO JOIN US!

LWVCNM Candidate Forum Training

Saturday, July 23, 2022

On SATURDAY, JULY 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. we will train members to staff future candidate forums. This will be a hybrid training - in person or via Zoom.

Candidate forums are one of the important things the LWVCNM does during election season.

The League conducts candidate forums that promote voter education and show voters the League can be trusted to be nonpartisan. Protecting the League’s reputation is critical in conducting candidate forums. Volunteers must be trained before they are assigned to staff a forum and hold themselves out at these forums as League of Women Voters members.

So, we want to train League members to staff candidate forums. Won’t you join us?

We will TRAIN members in three areas, each of which are critical to the success of every candidate forum:

            ** moderating

            ** timekeeping

            ** question organizing

Please join us, in-person at the LWVCNM office OR via Zoom, at our upcoming training.

SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2022

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

(in-person) 6739 Academy Rd NE, Suite 124, Albuquerque

(via Zoom)

Please REGISTER in advance for this training at https://www.lwvcnm.org/lwvcnm-candidate-forum-training/

We’ll provide materials and a Zoom invite by week’s end. If you have questions, please contact forum coordinator Mary H. Smith at maryhenrie@msn.com

We look forward to seeing you at this very important League training. THANKS!
