Thanks to the hard work
of Karen Wentworth and her team, the print Voter Guide for the general election
will be ready for distribution to locations in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties
this week. Guides will be sent to the early voting centers, libraries,
senior and community centers, but we could use more volunteers to help deliver
them to the other sites in the community. There are nearly 100 sites on our
list, including schools, businesses, senior living communities, and other
organizations. Many have been eagerly awaiting our guides.
We should have the
Bernalillo County guides ready for pickup from Sandie Spacek's garage near UNM
north campus on Friday, Oct 14th. I am also looking for volunteers to
deliver to sites in Sandoval County. (They will be staged from Laura Stokes
portal in Corrales.) If you are available to help, please let me know, and I
will provide all the specifics. Copies of the guides will be available in the
LWVCNM office during the following week.
A
pdf of the guide is currently accessible on our website at:
The NM State League has
also just published the online Voter Guide at Vote411.org.
It contains the same information as the print guide. V
oters can enter their
address and get information specific to their ballot. I
have attached copies of a Vote411 flyer for the public as well as a news release
from the state league with more details about the guide. Please share
this
information with your family, friends, and your community.
Please let me know if
you have any questions.
Thanks for your interest
and support,
