LWVCNM - During June 2024 LWVUS Convention an expedited Federal Judiciary Study was initiated and a November 2024 presentation offered information to all LWV members.  Please review information on the LWVUS website and plan to participate in the Town Hall Tuesday, February 4th @7:00 pm EST.

LWVUS Federal Judiciary Study                        June 2024-25

        Objective: To develop a LWV position on the Federal Judiciary as an essential component of US democracy. The Study includes but is not limited to addressing concerns and clarifying judicial accountability, transparency, independence, and ethics. The scope addresses the US Supreme Court as well as the other Article III federal courts. The other Article III federal courts include 94 federal district courts (which include bankruptcy courts), and 13 circuit courts of appeals.
