COMING UP:

The July topic for the New Mexico Water Advocates will directly affect LWVCNM members. Two Bernalillo County Commissioners will discuss “Building Resilience in the Middle Rio Grande.” Register for the Zoom meeting that will take place on July 17th, 6:30 to 8 pm here.

July 17th is Make Good Trouble Day. Coined by civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, "Good Trouble" is the action of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change. Find an event here.

Save the date: The Book Club group will meet Wednesday, July 23rd, at 5:30 PM in the office conference room. See the Book Club web page for details including the book that will be discussed.

DID YOU KNOW?

The July Monthly Educational Meeting topic was the recently passed federal budget and its impact on education and healthcare in New Mexico. The information presented was very informative about where we are. You can watch the recording on our website page for meeting Zoom recordings.

Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) started July 1st. Automatic Voter Registration  ensures that effective July 1, 2025, Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) customers who are also qualified electors will be automatically registered to vote pursuant to state law. Get more information here.
