COMING UP
The Book Club meeting is today, November 17 at 5:30.
The November monthly educational meeting is on November 19 at 5:00.
The New Mexico Water Advocates meeting is on November 20 from 6:30 to 8 pm. The topic is the controversial Project Jupiter, the proposed data center to be located in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and what it means for southern New Mexico water. LWVCNM will have a table at the Albuquerque Museum Free Night at the Museum on November 20 from 5 to 8 pm.
LWVCNM will have a table at the Native American Resource Fair at CNM on November 25.
The Virtual Summit will convene patients, healthcare leaders, and policymakers in a statewide discussion of pragmatic reforms (malpractice, reimbursement, and GRT relief) that can restore stability to New Mexico’s healthcare system and improve access to care for all. It is on December 2 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Here is more information and a registration link.
The National League is hosting a discussion on Immigration: Countering Disinformation and Beyond on December 4 at 5 pm. Find out more information and sign up for the meeting here.
There is no monthly educational meeting in December.
The City of Albuquerque Local Runoff Election, for Mayor and City Council districts 1 and 3, is on December 9. Early voting is December 1 – 6. Find out more on our website lwvcnm.org – we have a flyer and a modified Voter Guide.
The annual LWVCNM holiday party is on December 14 from 2 to 4 pm.
