The February monthly meeting is on Thursday, February 26, hybrid at noon. The topic is New Mexico semi-open primaries. It will be important to learn the facts about this, as we expect to get many questions about it.

LWVCNM will have a table at the UNM Valencia campus Career and Wellness Fair on March 10.

The March monthly meeting is on Thursday, March 12. The topic will be about the current efforts to get the legislature to commit to being more informative to the public.

LWVCNM will have a table at the downtown Main Public Library on Saturday, March 14 from 10 am – 1 pm.

LWVCNM and the Three Muses Performance Collective are partnering on a performance of Failure is Impossible: A Talk with Susan B. Anthony. The performance will be Saturday, March 14 at 4:30 at the Q street Theater on Broadway. See the press release here.

The next Bernalillo County Naturalization Ceremony voter registration and education is on March 20.

LWVCNM will have a table for voter registration and education at the International District Library on March 24 from 5 to 7 pm.

The next LWVCNM Book Club session is on Wednesday, March 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the office conference room. See more information here.

The Program Planning meeting had a lively discussion about several topics. If you missed it, you can still view it here.

The printed Who’s Who Political Directory for Bernalillo and Sandoval counties are now available in the LWVCNM office. There is a limited supply, as we will be printing a new edition in April after the municipal elections in Bernalillo and Rio Rancho are complete.

LWVCNM now has more information about the new semi-open primaries and how they will affect voters in New Mexico. Our web page has information that will continue to be updated.
