LWVCNM will have a table at the UNM Valencia Career Fair on Tuesday, September 22, from 2 to 5:30 pm.

The Book Club gathering is this week on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:30 in the conference room.

LWVCNM will have a table at the Rio Grande High School Career Fair on Thursday, September 24.

LWVCNM will give a short workshop on helping students to fill out voter registration forms on Thursday, September 24, at Digital Arts & Technology Academy. Then on Wednesday, September 30, LWVCNM will oversee students organizing voter registration events in classrooms.

LWVCNM will provide timekeepers for a Lieutenant Governor candidate debate sponsored by the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday, September 24.

LWVCNM will give presentations at La Cueva High School on Monday, September 28.

LWVCNM will have a table at UNM in front of Zimmerman Library on Tuesday, September 29, from 1 to 3 pm.

LWVCNM will have a table at ABQ Zinefest XV on Saturday, October 3, from 11 am to 5 pm. The event will be at GIZMO Arts (410 Central Ave. NW).

Look for LWVCNM Voter Guides online in late September and in print the first week of October. We will, as usual, have the other New Mexico League’s guides online as well.

Remember that registering or changing a registration to vote must be done online, or a hard copy form must be in the Secretary of State’s office, before October 6. 

Early voting and same day registration begins at County Clerk offices, and in Albuquerque at the Bernalillo County Clerk Annex, on Tuesday, October 6.

Common Cause is offering Election Protection Training a nonpartisan effort to help voters understand their rights, identify and report barriers to voting, and connect voters with accurate information and assistance. Participants will learn more about how they can support voters before and during elections. No prior experience is required, and training and support will be provided. Register for either training by completing the Election Protection signup form.

Observe New Mexico Elections (ONME), supported by the Carter Center, is a nonpartisan election observation effort designed to increase trust and transparency in our elections. ONME observers will monitor poll worker training, voting machine certification, absentee ballot processing, early voting, and Election Day voting in all 33 counties.
