[Neighbors] Raccoons

Oh yeah! Chased two out of my attic in 500 block of Hermosa a couple of months ago. They occasionally traverse our tile roof in the middle of the night, potentially dislodging them and driving my Jack Russells nuts. Two years ago, it got so bad I had to trap two and “deport” them to the Rio. They’re cute as heck but extremely destructive. I’ve actually set up a few motion activated solar lights on my roof which seems to have discouraged them (though one morning I found one of the lights on the ground as if a raccoon had tossed it away—maybe the wind did it). Most commercial varmint outfits don’t want to deal with them, nor does the city. Best you can do is chase them away as best you can and discourage their return.
