Friends,

When we created the One Albuquerque Fund, we had no idea how much we would
end up needing it, and how fast.

Initially conceived as an organization to work side-by-side with City
government to help local residents, businesses and philanthropies support
solutions to our most critical challenges—public safety, homelessness,
youth engagement, and workforce development—the Fund has now transformed
into one of the leading organizations in our community that is assisting
with our local coronavirus response.

Within days of the crisis hitting our city, the Fund jumped into action,
putting $50,000 toward emergency housing assistance to support those in
need of safe shelter during this time. And recognizing the impact of this
situation on local small businesses, added $50,000 in support to our Micro
Business Relief fund, giving 10 additional local companies a small lifeline
to stay afloat.

I am so appreciative of all that the Fund Board and staff are doing right
now for Albuquerque residents and encourage anyone that can afford it, to
chip in any amount they can to support the efforts of the Fund. In this
case, every dollar really does count and will go right to helping fellow
residents in need.

Thank you for being part of One Albuquerque.

Mayor Tim Keller

One Albuquerque Fund Donates $50,000 to Support Albuquerque Small Businesses
*100k donated by the One Albuquerque Fund, with over $12,000 in individual
donations into fund.*

We are One Albuquerque. A city that stands together and supports each other
through the good and the bad. Now, more than ever, we are working hard to
help our friends and neighbors, quite literally, survive this pandemic.

At the beginning of the stay-at-home order, the One Albuquerque Fund
partnered with the City of Albuquerque’s Family and Community Services
Department by *donating $50,000 towards emergency housing*
<https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=654fb536bf&e=caa1a79803>.
These funds have directly helped find shelter for those experiencing
homelessness who may be at risk, or awaiting test results for COVID-19. The
funds are also going towards providing rental assistance to help those
experiencing financial hardship due to this pandemic.

The One Albuquerque Fund has since partnered with the City of Albuquerque’s
Economic Development Department to support their *Micro Business Relief
Program*
<https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=67e8ec1ad8&e=caa1a79803>
with a donation of $50,000. These funds have helped 10 small businesses
with grants of $5,000. Mayor Keller also announced 140 businesses that
received the first round of funding from the city’s relief program, and we
were able to support an additional 10 businesses. There were over 1,400
applications for this program, but unfortunately there isn’t enough funding
to support all of these businesses. We are continuing to look for
partnerships and donations to support the additional businesses that
applied to this program.

The board of directors *One Albuquerque Fund*

is made up of local business owners. We understand the need for support in
our communities, and are looking for creative ways to help each other.

Because we are uniquely partnered with the City of Albuquerque, our funds
are able to help community members and businesses directly and quickly.
This is so important right now, as most of these people cannot afford
waiting a week, a month, or longer for financial support or housing.

The One Albuquerque Fund is *accepting donations*

of any size and open to any fundraising partnerships that will support any
of our initiatives: housing and homelessness, police recruitment, youth
opportunities, and workforce support.

We know that with your help, we, as One Albuquerque, we will be able to
help more Burqueños survive this crisis.

The City has provided relief for small businesses across Albuquerque that
are seeing a reduction in revenue because of COVID-19. The City
offered small businesses with fewer than 5 employees a grant of up to
$5,000 to support day-to-day operating expenses only of the business, such
as payroll or losses due to destabilizing events.
