The property is zoned for this; it’s an appropriate use. The “available” properties on Central are held by a handful of property moguls who, clearly, have no problem keeping places empty to prop up unsupportable rents in the current economy and especially given what ART has done to destroy Central. I think it’ll be a tough go for them at this location; but see no reason to deny them a use the property is intended for. I’m aware they are a responsible business. I support this application.Regards,Mark ClevelandOn Jun 22, 2021, at 4:52 PM, Ricky Adams via Neighbors_nobhill-nm <neighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.com> wrote:I fully support businesses.  The spaces on Central are over priced for this depressed economy. An empty building is bad. I support the location and will be present to support the businesses. Businesses are restricted to existing noise and business hour restrictions in Albuquerque. Don’t be scared.  Be supportive of businesses. It is better than homeless camps (which are coming soon near you). Ricky Adams308 Aliso Dr SE From: Neighbors_nobhill-nm <neighbors_nobhill-nm-bounces at mailman.swcp.com> On Behalf Of Flora Silva via Neighbors_nobhill-nmSent: Tuesday, June 22, 2021 3:53 PMTo: Greg Weirs <vgweirs at gmail.com>; Jen Kihm <jenkihm at yahoo.com>Cc: Neighbors Hill <neighbors at nobhill-nm.com>; Melodie Eyster <meyster1 at me.com>; TheBoard NobHill-NM <theboard at nobhill-nm.com>; Michael Vos <vos at consensusplanning.com>Subject: Re: [Neighbors] Fwd: Neighborhood Meeting Request for 201 Hermosa NE I am not familiar with the business and will wait for the official call for service reports before commenting on this aspect of the application. The location is too close to residents; consider traffic, noise, and parking. I do agree it is encroaching intoresidents' areas.  For this reason, I would not support.Flora On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, 3:38:01 PM MDT, Jen Kihm via Neighbors_nobhill-nm <neighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.com> wrote:   Current location is open from 2:00 - 8:00 PM daily. Failing that, I would prefer July 1. On the application itself, I am concerned that a high volume business with evening operating hours would encroach heavily on the residents living literally next door and 50ft across the street. I support the business but not at that location. Greg On Tue, Jun 22, 2021 at 10:43 AM Melodie Eyster via Neighbors_nobhill-nm <neighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.com> wrote:Nob hill friends and neighbors, I am forwarding this notice that we just received. I have discussed it with our vice president and we can see benefit in asking for a facilitated meeting with the applicant.I would ask the community if you agree and do the dates the applicant has offered look OK? Our association would not make a decision at that time but at our board meeting immediately before the ZHE hearing. Also, we would like to get the word out to those in the nearby residences. That could well involve a flyer because of course they’re not all on this email list. Please reply to me or to all with your ideas. We will probably try to get together a decision in the next couple days. The Applicant, High and Dry Brewery is excited to propose a public house as their second location in the eastern building on the property, which was most recently used as a tattoo parlor. There is also a restaurant located on the site. Attached are a conceptual site plan and building renderings and additional information about this request. The primary change to the site will be the addition of a patio on the south and east sides of the building. We would like to submit our application to the ZHE on Tuesday, July 6th for a public hearing on August 17th. To meet this schedule, we are proposing a possible neighborhood meeting to discuss this project with your Associations on either Thursday, July 1st or Monday, July 5th. We hope one of these days works for you. Please let me know which works best. If you determine there is not a need to meet, please also let me know, so we can proceed with our application. We are also happy to present at additional meetings after making our application.  We appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to working with you throughout our application process. Sincerely,Michael Vos, AICP CONSENSUS PLANNING, INC.302 Eighth Street NWAlbuquerque, NM 87102phone (505) 764-9801vos at consensusplanning.com _______________________________________________Neighbors_nobhill-nm mailing listNeighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.comhttps://mailman.swcp.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/neighbors_nobhill-nmThis Message Sent To: vgweirs at gmail.com-- Greg Weirs505 515 6334 (M)505 265 9995 (H)vgweirs at gmail.com_______________________________________________Neighbors_nobhill-nm mailing listNeighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.comhttps://mailman.swcp.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/neighbors_nobhill-nmThis Message Sent To: jenkihm at yahoo.com _______________________________________________Neighbors_nobhill-nm mailing listNeighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.comhttps://mailman.swcp.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/neighbors_nobhill-nmThis Message Sent To: silva_f65 at yahoo.com_______________________________________________Neighbors_nobhill-nm mailing listNeighbors_nobhill-nm at mailman.swcp.comhttps://mailman.swcp.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/neighbors_nobhill-nmThis Message Sent To: abqcleve at comcast.net
