[Neighbors] Toilet bowl water stains

 I've tried something different.
Fold paper towels into 1 inch strips.  Soak in vinegar and circle the bowl with them at the water line.  Let them sit there for a while -- maybe a couple of hours.  Get a 2x2 inch piece of 320 grit sandpaper and soak it in vinegar as well.  Then start rubbing.  The vinegar-soaked paper towels will soften up the mineral deposits and make them easier to get off, and the sandpaper grit is fine enough that it won't scratch the bowl.

Those are mineral deposits from our water. The only thing I've found that works reliably, short of a whole house water softener, is a little quick work with a pumice stone on a stick. You can get those inexpensively just about anywhere.

Over the last ten years or so my toilet has developed water stains. Near Carisle and Lomas. Tried everything to remove without success. Suggestions? Is there a plumbing service that can fix this type of problem?
