Dear Friends:   Please join me at an Artist’s Reception for the current District 3 Art Exhibit, Transcendent Photography ~ Betty Hahn & Patrick Nagatani, on Friday, February 19th, 5:00-6:30pm, on the 10th Floor of One Civic Plaza NW, Suite 10111.  This show is the 38th in a series of exhibits showcasing the talent and creativity of District 3 artists.   Betty Hahn and Patrick Nagatani are seminal photographers and retired UNM professors of photography who thrust the medium beyond the camera lens.  Their visionary techniques transformed the photograph into a spellbinding world ~ Hahn through her mastery of non-silver printing and Nagatani through his fabrication of fantastical scenes and as a “tapist”.  Their transcendent photography invites us to join their vital dialogue about beauty and magic.    Hahn and Nagatani, widely recognized for their scholarly achievements and artistic contributions, have exhibited their work both nationally and internationally.  Their work is included in the collections of many prominent museums and individuals.  Bernalillo County is honored to have several of their pieces in the Bernalillo County Public Arts collection.   Please share this e-mail with your friends, colleagues, neighbors and association members.
