Having unfortunately been on the receiving end of two accidents on Zuni, one resulting in a totaled car, I'm thrilled to have the new road configuration. The old layout with narrow lanes, traffic suddenly stopping and backing up for left turns, and very limited visibility made us give up on Zuni.

Likewise, if dropping to single lanes on Central in Nob Hill, coupled with the wider sidewalks, means we can more easily cross the street to walk to our favorite restaurants, I'm for it. The current situation feels like Frogger.

Best regards,
Zach

I've seen laments about traffic congestion on Central and Zuni and suggestions that Zuni will not be safe for cyclists. When ART is built I look forward to a time when road conditions make it impossible to go as fast as you please on Central, and I've heard nothing but praise from the cycling community for the re-striping on Zuni. They don't seem to fear it. Maybe I'm only listening to those who agree with me.
