SAVE THE DATE: Thursday, August 4th from 2:30 to 6:30 pm on CNM’s Main Campus at 525 Buena Vista SE.
You are invited to CNM’s first Family Open House (Aug. 4th @ 2:30-6:30pm SRC Lawn) hosted by Connect Services Cultural Teams and sponsored by the CNM Foundation, Pepsi, and Nusenda Credit Union. We are asking CNM students to invite their parents, significant others, and other supporters to view the campus. CNM Students with children should also bring them to participate in a fun-filled day of activities and games organized by CNM and many community partners and organizations. Families from the general community (including staff and faculty) are also welcomed.
Activities will Include:
CNM’s Makerspace, Early Childhood Toy Library, Albuquerque Fire Dept. providing water fun, Explora Children’s Museum, ABQ Bio Park, Home Depot, Break Dancing, Rock Climbing with the NM National Guard and more!
Let’s not forget there will be free ice cream for everyone!
The goal is to get as many families on campus as possible to learn about the many educational opportunities CNM has to offer for every type of student. Community members will have the opportunity to take advantage of several workshops during the event such as on the spot basic computer skills support, job and resume assistance, career exploration and how to get started to take a class at CNM. Enrollment Services employees and Academic Coaches will be on site in the “Getting Started at CNM” room to help with admissions applications and to answer questions on academic options and opportunities at CNM. The workshops will be available for walk in assistance throughout the event.
