Dear Friends:   I'd like to invite you to my next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, December 14th, noon-1:00pm, at the McKinley Community Center,3401 Monroe NE.  December’s speaker will be Tim Keller, New Mexico State Auditor. Before being elected State Auditor in 2014, Tim was elected twice to the State Senate, District 17, were he served on the Business, Education, Finance, Tax and Economic Development committees.  He acted as Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee and was elected into the Senate leadership serving as the Majority Whip.  As auditor, Tim is responsible for the financial oversite of 900 state and local governments.  His main focus is to make government work better by providing transparency and accountability for all tax dollars spent in New Mexico. He created New Mexico’s first Government Accountability Office and has worked to improve the state’s annual audit performance, conducting dozens of special audits on fraud, waste and abuse. Tim was born and raised in Albuquerque, attended St. Pius High School, the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Business School.  He is very active in the community, serving on the boards of the Open Hands Foundation, Road Runner Food Bank, Capitol Fund, the Asian American Association and Albuquerque Southeast Team for Entrepreneur Development. He has also lectured on government and business at Lewis University and UNM.
