Dear Friends:   I'd like to invite you to my next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, February 15th, noon-1:00pm, at the McKinley Community Center,3401 Monroe NE.  This month’s speaker is Barry Bitzer, Development Director-New Mexico BioPark Society.  Barry will talk about the new river otter exhibit that the voters approved as part of the Bernalillo County bond package in November’s General Election.  He will also discuss other construction projects and events planned for the ABQ BioPark. In January 2006 the New Mexico Zoological Society (in existence since 1969) and the Friends of the Aquarium and Botanic Garden merged to become the New Mexico BioPark Society (NMBPS). Unifying the two organizations created an opportunity to provide increased financial support to all four facilities – the Zoo, Botanic Garden, Aquarium & Tingley Beach -- that comprise the ABQ BioPark. ​ This is a Brown Bag lunch.  You bring a sandwich and we will provide the  beverages.
