Dear Neighborhood Association Representative,

On December 29, 2016, the Planning Department notified you that it had submitted the Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) to the Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) for review and recommendation to the City Council.  The EPC hearing, scheduled for February 16, 2017, was deferred until Council took final action on the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan update.  Council voted to adopt the updated ABC Comp Plan on March 20, 2017.

The Planning Department is providing this re-notification as a reminder that the IDO will be heard by the EPC on April 6 and April 10, 2017 to take public testimony, comments, and questions.

WHEN:  April 6 and 10, 1- 8 p.m.

WHERE: City Council Chambers in the basement of the City/County Building, 1 Civic Plaza NW, Albuquerque, NM

Public comment will be taken throughout the afternoon, so please come when you can. Park beneath Civic Plaza and bring your ticket to be validated.

The IDO is the regulatory tool to realize and implement the Centers and Corridors community vision outlined in the updated ABC Comp Plan in a coordinated, City-wide context where existing communities can benefit from new development while being protected from potential adverse effects.

·         A draft of the IDO can be accessed at https://abc-zone.com/document/abq-ido-epc-submittal-draft

·         The staff report will be posted online one week prior to the hearing at http://www.cabq.gov/planning/boards-commissions/environmental-planning-commission/epc-staff-reports

Thanks for all you do for our community,

ABC-Z Project Team
