Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well in this difficult time with the corona virus. This is a really difficult time for all of our businesses in Nob Hill. But there is one bright spot that will help us make social contact from a distance with our neighbors.
Our Nob Hill Neighborhood Association Spring Newsletter is at the print shop and I will pick up all of the newsletters on Friday (27th) late afternoon. It is certainly ok to partner with someone to deliver the newsletters. Some of you have already volunteered to do deliveries. Thank you!
When you volunteer to deliver a relatively small number of newsletters, by teaming together we deliver nearly 3200 newsletters to all of our neighbors. On average, a route covers between 80 and 110 newsletters. Note that odd numbered routes are NE and even numbered routes are SE. If you have delivered in the past and have a favorite route, please let me know. I will try and match your requests with the routes remaining on my list.
The pick-up location for all routes is Monte Vista Christian Church at 3501 Campus Blvd NE. The newsletters will be stored under the portico behind the church's Office building for pick-up anytime. Just follow the portico south from the main entrance of the church which faces Berkley/Grand.
Please note the following delivery guidelines:
1) A map of your route is included in the bundle - always deliver to both sides of the highlighted streets on the map, except where the map states do "one side only".
2) Please do not put newsletters in the mailbox - place them on the front porch or step anchored by a welcome mat or doorway, rock, etc. If possible, it is ok to wedge the newsletter between a door handle and door frame.
3) The bundles will be tagged with your Route Number so please be sure to pick-up the correct bundle for your route.
4) Central Avenue – This is going to be difficult for this delivery since most businesses are now closed. If your route includes Central Ave, please deliver newsletters to the businesses on Central within the route that still remain open. Also note that some businesses are located within Nob Hill but not on Central. Those businesses may be included in your delivery route. That includes businesses along Copper, Campus, Silver, Lomas, and side streets off Central. Please note which businesses have received a delivery because we will want to deliver to the others when they have reopened.
---> Please let me know ASAP if you will be able to help us with this very important contact with all of our neighbors. As soon as the newsletters are ready for pick-up and delivery I will be sending you another email. We want to have the newsletters all delivered no later than Friday, April 3rd.
