Hi Melodie and Gary,
Glad to hear you had a good experience! Thanks for letting me know. Maybe in the fall when planting would be more amenable heat-wise I'll reach out again to the group to see if anyone wants to go in. Penstemons, Forestieras, Apaches Plumes, Fringed sage, and Potentillas...so many beautiful plant choices! :)
Best wishes, Heather

Hi Heather. That’s a great program! Your neighborhood association bought around 70 last spring and handed them out within nob hill through the Neighbors email list at nob hill-NM.com If a number of neighbors express interest maybe we could grab a few more for the fall. Kind regards, Gary Eyster, president, NHNA

Good afternoon all,
Hope you are doing well and staying healthy! Quick question, to repeat the subject line: has anyone ever bought seedlings from the NM forestry conservation program? Here’s the link: https://wwwapps.emnrd.state.nm.us/fd/treepublic/OrderOnline.aspx
They have a lot of great native shrubs and trees, and even a couple penstemons....in bundles of 49 plants! A bit much for one yard, but maybe a good bargain divided among a group of folks. My question was more about the size of the plants, as seedlings I imagine they can’t be very large/older than a year. If you’ve ever bought before, I’d be curious to hear about your experience.
